17 August 2008 :: After a successful season shooting and broadcasting the Gold Coast Blue Tongues home games, the Australian Ice Hockey League has agreed to having Slapshot provide live streamed internet coverage of the 2008 Goodall Cup Finals in Newcastle, NSW on the 30-31 of August. 15 August 2008 :: Slapshot is pleased to be the exclusive provider of video coverage of the Queensland Buffers Soccer Tournament 2008, taking place in Richlands, QLD from the 26th September thru the 4th of October 2008. Slapshot will use the same 3-camera multi-cam coverage with live commentary that we've used successfully for the Blue Tongues ice hockey to cover 28 games over the 8-day event. With several nations competing at near pro-level soccer, a carnival music festival and fans coming from around the globe, it's expected to be an exciting week of soccer for this annual event. 19 June 2008 :: The Blue Tongues hockey team along with Slapshot launched a successful first weekend of hockey (both on the ice and with our broadcast) at the Bundall Iceland rink on the Gold Coast this past weekend. The Blue Tongues convincingly won both of their first 2 homes games with Slapshot capturing the moment live to the internet via 3-camera multi-cam coverage and live commentary. Viewers from 7 countries watched as we launched what we hope will be a successful campaign to increase ice hockey interest and accessibility for fans for this exciting but under-appreciated sport here in Australia!
29 May 2008 :: Slapshot Entertainment will be providing live internet coverage of the 2008 home season games of the Gold Coast Blue Tongues of the Australian Ice Hockey League beginning this June. With multi-cam coverage and play-by-play commentary, the Blue Tongues broadcast will be the first of its kind currently in Australia. We are hoping to broadcast tape-delayed games on Brisbane's community television station, Channel 31, as well. Stay tuned for more information!
