AIHL ICE HOCKEY FINALS RECEIVES
ANTENNA AWARD NOMINATION

The Finals episode of the Brisbane Blue Tongues Ice Hockey television programme on Channel 31 in Brisbane has been nominated for the 2008 Antenna Awards. http://c31.org.au/antennas/antennas_nominations.php

In its first season on air, the AIHL Finals game was the perfect ending to ice hockey on community television for the 2007 season, and we appreciate being recognised for our achievements! Despite being a new sport to Channel 31 and a reasonably obscure sport for Australians, the show garnered ratings of 25-30,000 viewers per week and helped the sport grow in general by getting spectators to the matches.

A big thanks and congratulations goes out to everyone who supported our efforts and assisted in making this year possible. So, make sure you think good thoughts on the 24th of April when the awards are announced!
